Sandall Park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, is a park you can enjoy every day, all year round. The site was officially opened as a park in 1940 on the site of a former brickyard. The park was known locally as the 'Boating Lake' as there used to be small boats available for visitors, before it changed its use to angling.
The park suffered a low ebb in the 80's and 90's, as an unloved open space. This has been drastically turned round, with much help and effort from Friends of Sandall Park, the park now offers a wide range of facilities and events throughout the year. The park has gone from strength to strength and continues to develop as a key feature to the local community and a destination attraction for many of the activities taking place.
Sandall Park offers public toilets, a range of play facilities, free car parking, a cafe and plenty of open recreational space to enjoy the open air.
